Print Inspection

The U-1476 can be equipped with MARKEM's print inspection system. The system consists of a video camera, optics, camera mount, illumination source, computer, and a software algorithm that processes the digitized image of each print.

Software in the handler receives the "accept" or "reject" signal that activates an optional pick and place device to eject the rejected part. The system's unique software provides a high degree of flexibility and latitude in setting inspection standards. Users can choose legend quality standards ranging from the very highest quality to passing prints barely legible, or to any selected standard in between.

 Automated system

Replaces labor intensive, subjective, variable, and often unreliable human inspection.

Processes up to 100 legends per minute including image acquisition and reporting.

User friendly system that is easy to learn, set up, and adjust. Legend standards can be recalled within two minutes.

Inspects for virtually any defect including "mouse bite", missing characters (partial or whole), faded ink, pin holes, ink blobs, and skewed marks.

Operates with automatic pick and place ejection for marks failing inspection. Failed parts are accumulated for remarking.

Checks package orientation by inspecting the pin 1 dimple or notch.
